Region C Directors E-Mails
The Region C website is available for EVERYONE

If you have not already done so, please create an account by following the steps below _*and*_ encourage the Chapter Directors to do the same. This is the best way to make sure the state and chapter information is current, i.e. chapter director, meeting time, place, and event dates. It really is very easy to do.

Next encourage all of the members to subscribe to the weekly electronic
newsletter. The webmaster has a program that pulls information from the
website, compiles it into a newsletter, and sends it each week via e-mail.

Each chapter has the opportunity to post on the web page and contribute to
this newsletter. Mine is in the inbox every Monday morning without fail.

To create a new user account click on the following
URL http://gwtac.com/backdoor. To sign up, put in your e-mail address as a user name, check the new user box and submit button. You willbe prompted for your information and then your new account will be created. Once that's completed, you'll be able to log in at any time and
update all the state information (keeping it up to date). Also at that time, people will be able to click on your name on the website and forward e-mails to you with questions regarding your state without revealing your e-mail address.

Please also forward (optional) any photos you may have of yourself
to be presented on the page as well as any chapter or state logos you might have. These will be applied appropriately (see the GWTA-C
homepage at http://gwta-c.com for an example on how those are used).

Please help keep the Region C website active, informative and current.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We are about to start a new year in our life’s and hopefully make some new starts. More than any other time in the History of GWTA do we need the help from all of our members. We have always been a member owned and run organization but for some reason many of our members have failed to recognize the importance of their input. I realize that not all of our members can be as involved as some of us are but they can be and should be vary involved in their own chapter decisions. We are always stronger with everyone’s participation. It seems that every chapter has it’s core membership and these are the ones that help make the decisions for their chapter. I would like to challenge all of our members to participate in their chapter in the spirit of cooperation. It is always easy to complain about things but things just will not get changed unless we become involved. You have a ready made group of friends that already enjoys the one thing that brings us all together in GWTA and that is riding. I have found in my tenure with this club that the more involved I am the more I enjoy the club. It has become all to common that we as individuals become so wrapped up in our day to day living  and trying to support ourselves that we do not take the opportunity to allow others to come into our life’s.  Especially at this time of year we need to be reflecting on where we have been and where we are going in life. It is the relationships we make that make life worth living.
Don’t forget about the recruiting program we have going on in Region C until Feb. 1 2010 and GWTA National has started a couple of new programs as well. You will find these in this issue.

Region C Recruiting program

As most of you know by now we have been steadily loosing members for the last several months. GWTA has so much to offer the members in our chapters. I am very proud to say that I represent all of our members in Region C and the individuality of our chapters. I would love to see our Region grow by 100 members in the next six months from the first of Sept. 2009. I can not do this alone. You’re Region and your GWTA needs your help.
Starting on September 1, 2009 till March 1, 2010 Region C will be promoting a special recruiting push. The State or Province in Region C that recruits the most members in that 6 month period will be eligible for a $500.00 cash prize. Now here is the kicker. In order to win that prize you must keep those new members and they must renew a year later, so the prize will not be awarded until March 30, 2011.
Do you know the best and the easiest way to recruit new members? You have to have fun in your own chapter and you have to invite others to join in the fun. Good luck to all the Region C members and may the best State or Province win.
Campaign 31

Effective immediately, members can sign up three (3) “new” memberships and get one FREE year added to their membership. Life Members have the option to give away the one free year. This membership program is called Campaign 31 and will run until further notice.
Hand of Friendship Program

Effective immediately! If you know someone who belongs to another motorcycle club and they are interested in joining GWTA, you can offer them the following incentive: If the prospective member shows proof of belonging to another organization including the amount they paid for the membership and the amount of time left on the membership, GWTA will put half of the value of what is left on their current membership with the other organization toward a 3 year GWTA membership.
2010 Raffle Tickets

2010 raffle tickets are in circulation. Tickets are being sent this month to all of our States. Region C has always done a very good job of supporting our organization with these sales. You should have them at your chapter level shortly. Region C is counting on all of our members to help sell these and keep our Region number 1
Tickets are a $1 donation each and the Grand Prize is the winner’s choice of $10,000 CASH (U.S. Funds) or 2010 Harley XR 1200 Sportster (Orange or Black) or 2010 Honda NT700V
